Create a community with a name, description, imagery, category, links, privacy settings, and clear member rules.

Before you start
- Choose a clear community name and a focused purpose.
- Prepare a description, category, optional profile photo, optional cover image, and relevant links.
- Write basic rules before inviting members.
Steps
- 1Open Communities and choose the option to create a community.
- 2Add the community profile image and cover image if available.
- 3Enter the community name, description, category, and optional contact or social links.
- 4Create the community to move into setup.
- 5Choose public or private visibility.
- 6Set moderation preferences such as post approval, auto moderation, image posts, video posts, polls, member invites, and member approval.
- 7Review or edit community rules, then launch the community.
Important notes
- Public communities can be viewed and joined more easily. Private communities should be used when content is intended only for approved members.
- Community rules should be specific enough that members understand what is allowed.
